Founder of Foedus law Firm, Gennaro specialised on a wide range of litigation and arbitration matters. His practice mainly focuses on civil, commercial, banking and finance law, as well as on product liability law.

He assists major banks and financial institutions in domestic disputes and cross-border arbitration proceedings relating to financial products, derivatives and investment services, as well as liability arising from large scale frauds of banks’ former employees and brokers. He advises Italian and foreign primary banks and financial institutions in managing a broad range of contentious matters and litigation, pending before Italian Courts and Supervisory Authorities (Bank of Italy and Consob).

Gennaro also assists primary Italian and foreign companies in a number of litigation and arbitration proceedings relating to the liability of directors and auditors and having as object the execution of strategical share purchase agreements. He accrued wide experience in the field of product liability law, assisting primary pharmaceutical, medical device and industrial companies in worldwide products’ recall campaigns and in the relevant regulatory and litigation proceedings.

In the last years Gennaro also developed wide and specific expertise in the field of cybersecurity, offering to a number of companies legal assistance in the field of compliance with cybersecurity law and in the prevention and management of cyber risks.

Gennaro graduated magna cum laude at the University of Naples Federico II, Italy in 1999 and was admitted to the Bar, Italy in 2004. Gennaro is admitted as Counsel (Cassazionista) before the Italian Supreme Court since 2016. He also has been appointed as sole arbitrator by the Milan Chamber of Arbitration in a number of arbitration proceedings. Prior to founding Foedus law firm, Gennaro worked for several years in primary international and Italian law firms. He speaks Italian and English.
